I started my very first affiliate business in February of 2004 and I earned $10,466.00 in just 60 days. I don't know what's more surprising — That I did this while being a full-time college student... or that I was making more money than my university professors.

Now, $10,466.00 is a lot of money for an ordinary college student. The truth is, I earned all of it from doing affiliate marketing part-time. But it wasn't always this easy for me.

In fact, for several years I wasted a lot of money buying every type of "internet marketing" program that was made available.

I would read all the sales letters, buy into the hype, and get really excited. Then I would stay up all night, trying to make their "plan" work... only to find out that it was complete B.S. or unworkable. It seemed like my online business efforts were nothing but one big disappointment after another.

I stumbled around online buying every marketing product - and still never made any money. Then one day, I came across an internet marketing discussion forum, and began reading the posts.

"Great!" I thought. "A community of successful internet marketers I can learn from".  But sadly this was not the case. Most of the people on the forum were either newbies, or fake experts selling their "how to get rich" products.

But I was still determined to find real experts who could help me!

Fortunately, after a lot of searching, I finally *DID* find people who were running successful online businesses. I contacted them, and after A LOT of pleading (and even calling in some owed favors) ... a few of these real experts agreed to coach me!

Two months later, I made $10,466.00 online.

My Squidoo marketing strategies lens is ranking number 1 in Google out of 968,000 searches for the term, 'squidoo marketing strategies'. 9 out of the top 20 entries for that term link back to my Squidoo lens, my articles, my affiliate marketing coach blog or my ebook sales site. Yes, I have now written another ebook that I sell for $7.

My ebook, 'Squidoo Marketing Strategies', is less than a month old.
